SUMATRAN RHINOCEROSSUMATRAN RHINOCEROS The Sumatran rhinoceros is the smallest of the five existing rhino species. Once common to ancient rainforests usually in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and China, today they're found in Sumatra, Borneo, in addition to Malaysia. About 300 individuals are alive during the wild, leading the IUCN Red Encyclopedia to rank them as critically endangered.
